1960 Colt Derringer Set .22 Short Consecutive Serial Numbers MINT in Case!
If you are a collector of vintage Colt pistols, then this little set of beauties should certainly put a huge smile on your face!
‘Dirty Harry’ is very pleased to offer you this gorgeous set of (2) 1960 Colt Derringers, chambered in .22 short, and featuring consecutive serial numbers (24196D & 24197D). They are characterized by their gold-plated frames, 2 5/8” green patinated barrels, walnut grips, as well as their unique side pivot action and spur trigger. The 1960’s saw a specific iteration of the Colt Derringer, which was actually the Colt Fourth Model. These derringers, produced between 1959 and 1963, are chambered in .22 Short and were very popular among collectors and enthusiasts. According to the NRA, this particular model, identifiable by serial numbers ending in ‘D’, capitalized on the popularity of Westerns in the 1950s and 1960s.
Both of these pistols remain in very high condition, and I would rate them at a strong 99%. The factory smooth walnut grips remain in near ‘perfect’ condition on both pistols. Additionally, the bores are bright & shiny w/ strong lands and grooves. The package includes the factory Colt display case w/ red lining, and an added plaque that reads Jerry S. Strunk President 1959-60. You rarely see 65-year-old Colt Derringers pop up for sale, especially in such amazing ‘like new’ condition, and especially w/ consecutive serial numbers!
Again, if you collect vintage Colt handguns, then you should certainly appreciate this amazing set of 1960 Colt Derringers!
