‘Dirty Harry’ is proud to offer you this LNIB 1950 Colt Woodsman Match Target .22LR 6” Blue pistol. The spectacular condition and complete package make this one very special! The Woodsman Match Target was specifically designed for precision shooting and quickly became a favorite among sports shooters for its accuracy and reliability. The 2nd generation of the Colt Woodsman, known as the ‘Post-War’ series, saw production resume after World War II. This series introduced several refinements and improvements over the original design. The Series II Woodsman features a redesigned frame w/ a straighter backstrap, which improved grip ergonomics and made the pistol more comfortable to shoot for extended periods. The magazine release was moved to the bottom of the grip, a change from the previous side-mounted release. The safety mechanism was also updated for easier operation, and the Match Target models continued to feature heavy barrels and adjustable sights. Improved manufacturing techniques allowed for better finishes and materials, enhancing the durability and aesthetic appeal of the pistol.

This particular gun, serial # 43201-S, has been collector owned for decades, and has been meticulously cared for over the past 76 years. If you see some oil smears, it is because the gun was well oiled when I received it and I did not wipe it down as well as I could have. Overall condition is rated at a solid 99%, as the original blue finish is bright & shiny throughout. The matte finish on the top strap and bottom of the frame is perfect. The factory original Coltwood stocks are ‘minty’ just like the rest of the gun w/ beautiful coloring and sharp checkering.

The package is complete, including the original Colt brown hinged box w/ gold label, the original Colt Woodsman owner’s brochure, (2) original grip adaptors, screw driver, and last but certainly not least, the signed factory test-target.
